How did Paul Walker die?

Walker was a passenger in a red 2005 Porsche Carrera GT driven by his friend and business partner, Roger Rodas. The car crashed into a utility pole and two trees on Hercules Street, in a 45 mph speed limit. The official report indicated the car was traveling at an estimated speed of 80 to 93 mph at the time of impact.

The impact caused the car to spin 180 degrees and continue traveling eastward before hitting trees and catching fire. Both Walker and Rodas died instantly.

The accident investigation determined that the primary cause was unsafe speed for the road conditions. The car's tires were also nine years old and in poor condition, which may have contributed to the loss of control. No traces of alcohol or drugs were found on either man.
